How to choose the right battery simplified
When replacing a battery; either fit a ‘like for like’ equivalent or if possible a higher specification. NEVER fit a lesser capacity battery, doing so will mean it is overworked and will result in a shorter life.
Decide whether you need a starter battery or a cyclic battery.
If cyclic, decide if flooded, GEL or AGM is most appropriate.
Measure the battery box, to ensure you don’t choose a battery size that will not fit.
Ensure the capacity (Ah) of the replacement battery is sufficient.
If the Ah is right, the physical size fits, and the technology is appropriate for the type of use it will get, you are good to go!
